How do I activate the app?
The app license is automatically activated for you right after purchasing. Please download the Carly OBD2 Scanner app and log in into the app with the email address you used to purchase the license. The full version is activated exactly for this email address. Please make sure that you always use it as a login email.
If you have bought the full version but receive an error message suggesting to buy again, please delete the app and restart your smartphone. Then, reinstall the app and log in with the same user account. Your full version will remain.

The full version of the app can only be restored with the same user account which was created to purchase the app. Please make sure that you use your login email address, not Apple auto login!
Follow these steps to restore your full version:
- Check if your license is not expired
- Check if you are logged in with the same login email you used to buy the app, not Apple auto login
- Select your car brand
- Scroll down in the main menu of the App
- Click on "Fullversion already purchased?"
- Click on "Ok"
- Application tries to restore your purchases
- Close the app fully and then restart it
- Open the app and scroll down. The app should now say "unlocked"
If those steps don't help, please contact us via app. Click on "Help" -> scroll down to "Contact support". Please send us the invoice of the app purchase and your login email. We will take care of it.
Important to note:
- If you want to work with different brands and models in one app, you need the All Brands app license
- If you bought the app via our website, please use only the Carly OBD2 Scanner, not "Carly for VAG", "Carly for Mercedes", "Carly for Porsche", etc. The stand-alone brand apps are not up to date and will be disabled soon.
- If you bought "Carly for VAG", "Carly for Mercedes", "Carly for BMW", etc. in store, please restore the full version in the new Carly OBD2 Scanner

I switched from Android to iOS. Can I still use the app?
If you bought the full version via Android, transferring the app is no problem, since the licences are stored in the e-mail account you used while purchasing the app. Important: you must use the same login data in the app on the new device.
Can I change the email address in my user account?
Unfortunately, it is technically not possible to change the email address in your app account. To change your login email, you should cancel your annual license before the renewal date and register a new account with the new email as soon as the old license expires.
How can I update the app?
Uninstall the app and then download it again from the App Store. Your app will be automatically updated to the latest version.
If you want to know which email address you are using right now to log in to the app, go into the settings of the app and scroll down to the bottom - your email will be displayed.
